We’re seeking a driven Business Development Manager to support our company’s growth. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities and developing strategic partnerships. You will play a key role in expanding our broker distribution network across Canada. The ideal candidate is proactive, results-oriented and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with brokers, advisors, and consultants
- Generate new business opportunities through the broker channel
- Support brokers with product information, presentations, and client meetings
- Participate in joint sales calls and discovery sessions with partners
- Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle from lead to close
- Maintain an active pipeline of prospects and opportunities
- Work with internal team to support proposals, onboarding and implementation
- Keep CRM records accurate and up to date
- Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activity
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in sales or business development role with a proven ability to work toward targets
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- LLQP required or actively in progress
- Experience with CRM systems and the benefits industry is an asset
- GBA designation is an asset
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Drive, Gmail)
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to work independently in a fast-paced startup; experience in insurance or regulated industries is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- The base salary is $60,000 - $70,000 annually (+ competitive commission plan)
