Retail Store Supervisor Job Duties:
· Supervise and coordinate the activities of cashiers and gas station attendants to ensure efficient and effective customer service.
· Assign duties to gas station attendants and cashiers and prepare work schedules to ensure adequate staffing and seamless coverage during business hours.
· Address and resolve customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages related to gas station services, convenience store products, and other business activities to ensure smooth operations.
· Authorize payments and manage returns of merchandise to maintain customer satisfaction.
· Monitor inventory levels to keep the store well-stocked and meet customer demands.
· Prepare and maintain reports on sales volumes, merchandising performance, and personnel matters to support store management in making informed decisions.
· Hire, train, or arrange training for new staff, and monitor their performance to ensure high service standards.
· Maintain the visual standards of the store, including product displays, signage, and cleanliness, ensuring an appealing shopping environment for customers across all business activities.
· Perform cashier duties when required to support the team and maintain consistent service.
· Perform key-holding and managerial duties as needed, including opening and closing the store, handling escalated complaints, developing marketing strategies for various products and services, and overseeing deliveries related to business operations.
· Oversee payroll administration.
· May perform other duties as required by the business.
Cashier Job Duties:
- Welcome and greet customers as they enter the convenience store and gas station.
· Determine the price of goods and services, including snacks, drinks, coffee, lottery tickets, and calculate the total payment using an electronic cash register, optical price scanner, or other equipment.
· Receive and process payments by cash, check, credit card, or automatic debit for purchases made at the gas station, convenience and vape store.
· Bag or wrap merchandise carefully for customers, ensuring safe and convenient handling of their purchases.
· Provide customers with information about products, services, and store policies, including details about lottery tickets, tobacco products, and the propane section.
· Calculate total payments received at the end of the work shift and reconcile them with the total sales to ensure accurate financial records.
· Verify the age of customers when selling age-restricted items such as lottery tickets, tobacco, and vape products, in compliance with legal requirements.
· Stock shelves with merchandise and maintain a clean and organized checkout counter area to create a welcoming shopping environment.
· May perform other duties as required by the business.
Pay: $17.60-$19.00 per hour
