The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day operation of a whale watching and nature tours outfit located in St Andrews N.B. We are looking for a mature, reliable, well presented and outgoing individual that will move easily between interaction with the public and ongoing operational requirements necessary for a smooth-running professional business. This is a hands on operation and this work opportunity will train the successful applicant about the work required to run a seasonal tourism business. The candidate must have grade 12 or higher education preferably with tourism related experience and a boating background would be a desired asset. Computer skills required for our online reservation software. We are an equal opportunity employer. Bilingual skills are an asset.
Assist in front line duties, which include, answering the telephone, responding to inquiries, taking reservations and retail sales.
Maintain a clean work environment.
Greet clients and assist in the intake prior to departure, suiting up, orientation and safety instruction.
Knowledge about the marine environment and marine mammals would be a definite asset.
This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a fast paced exciting seasonal business.
Seasonal Hours up to 36-38 hours per week. Evenings and Weekends.
Position starts immediately and runs until the beginning of September 2019.
