SouthMount Medical Imaging (SMI) is a well-established Outpatient clinic in Hamilton, Ontario. We are owned and operated by the radiologists of the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre. SMI is a leading diagnostic imaging provider in Hamilton, Ontario, committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Technologist / Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our multidisciplinary team.
Position Summary
The Ultrasound Technologist will perform a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with CPSO, CMRITO/ Sonography Canada (as applicable), and clinic standards, ensuring high-quality imaging, patient safety, and excellent patient experience.
Key Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
- Registration in good standing with Sonography Canada (or equivalent recognized credential)
- Current membership with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
- Eligible to work in Ontario
- Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred)
- Strong technical competence and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team-based environment
Assets (Preferred)
- Experience in general, obstetrical, and/or MSK ultrasound
- eFTS/NT Certificate
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform ultrasound imaging procedures in the clinic setting as required.
- Operate, troubleshoot, and ensure ultrasound, medical imaging and ancillary equipment are performed in an effective and efficient manner.
- Prepare written and electronic reports required to document all procedures and test results.
- Participate in teaching, educational, safety, and quality improvement programs/activities.
- Perform other related patient care responsibilities to facilitate the provision of optimal patient care.
- Perform cross-functional/site responsibilities as assigned.

Pay: $38.50-$43.50 per hour
