Duties
- Prepare and cook authentic South Indian dosas, ensuring they meet quality standards and traditional recipes
- Handle all aspects of food preparation, including batter mixing, spreading, cooking, and serving dosas with appropriate accompaniments
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Serve dishes promptly and courteously to customers, ensuring a positive food service experience
- Assist in managing inventory levels of ingredients specific to South Indian cuisine
- Follow all food handling procedures diligently to uphold hygiene standards
- Support the team during busy hours by efficiently managing meal preparation and service flow
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, especially in cooking South Indian dishes such as dosas, idlis, and vadas
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
- Previous experience working in restaurants or food service environments preferred
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a high-energy kitchen setting
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly attitude towards customers
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment used for dosa preparation and general food industry standards
