The Commodity Planner is responsible for the allocation and inventory management of designated commodities across all sites. They are responsible for the flow of their commodity for both internal and externally procured items from either domestic or imported sources.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the forecasting and planning planning projected purchases and transfers based on expected sales volume and grower forecasts.
- Routinely checks product quality in inventory and maintains communication with Quality team on inbound product.
- Coordinates and assists in communicating customers' expectations with Production, Shipping, and Receiving
- Constant contact with farms on picking forecasts to stay on top of inventory volumes, sizes and quality to better plan.
- Routinely monitors, verifies, and gives feedback to Production on their accuracy of product grading.
- Responsible for supporting the Jr. Commodity Planner.
- Other core expectations as defined by the company.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in relevant discipline preferred.
- Minimum two (2) years produce allocation or inventory management experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Famous or Inventory Management systems.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a high pressure, fast paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Work Environment:
- This job operates in a clerical, office setting with moderate noise. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
- The employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone; specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work; Light to moderate lifting, such as files, may be required.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a salary range of $65,000-$80,000 CAD annually, commensurate with experience, skills, and internal equity. In addition, Pure Flavor provides a competitive total rewards package that includes company-paid benefits, RRSP matching, and paid time off.
