Purpose Youth Ministries is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to sharing the gospel with youth throughout the Greater Toronto Area. Through various programs and initiatives, we aim to engage and inspire young people by providing a supportive and nurturing environment. Role Description
Are you looking for an opportunity to volunteer with an organization that is trying to make an impact on youth
OR
Are you a high school student that needs volunteer hours and wants to help impact lives, than this role is perfect for you. This role is hybrid (mostly remote) with a lot of flexibility in hours.
The Volunteer or Youth Volunteer may be responsible for one or more the following:
- Assisting with weekly in-person programs (on occasion)
- Compiling Contact Lists (churches and local businesses) and sending outcold-emails and cold-calls (as needed) to increase organizational awareness and solicit donations
- Participate in Director Board Meetings, and provide insights as needed
- Assist in creating marketing campaigns (print, digital, in-person, etc.)
- Participate in the planning and execution of fundraisers
- Participate in the planning and execution of outreach activities
- Participate in organizational planning and decision-making by providing ideas and insights in areas of expertise
Qualifications
- Experience with Youth Leadership or Youth Programs (preferred but not required)
- Excellent Communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning abilities
- Passion for working with youth and helping them grow
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail
Please note if you are over the age of 16, you will need to complete a vulnerable sector check before attending any in-person youth program sessions.
