Job Type & Schedule
- Position: Part-Time or Full-Time available
- Hours: Average of 20 to 35 hours per week
- Shifts: Weekends and daytime flexibility are required
What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
- Customer Care: Deliver an exceptional customer welcome. Take food and drink orders efficiently, manage lines smoothly, and deliver orders to tables.
- Drink & Food Service: Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, cakes, and light bistro items to our high standards.
- Knowledge & Upselling: Guide customers through our menu with passionate recommendations to ensure repeat business and maximize sales.
- Cafe Upkeep: Set up, maintain, and close down the cafe and counters. Keep tables clear, tidy, and sanitized throughout the day.
- Stock Management: Maintain stock levels of supplies and consumables, ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Cash & Security: Operate the till, handle cash accurately, and remain vigilant regarding shop security and fraud prevention.
- Teamwork & Standards: Work within company guidelines, handle first-line customer feedback professionally, and strictly follow health, safety, and food hygiene legislation.

- Personality: A friendly, engaging, and articulate communicator who genuinely enjoys serving the public and initiating conversation.
- Work Style: A well-organized team player with a strong sense of urgency who thrives under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Adaptability: Willing to learn, take instruction, multitask, and work confidently on your own initiative.
- Operations: Previous experience with till operations, cash handling, and basic computer/POS literacy.
- Food Passion: A keen interest in local food and drink, with the ability to quickly master our menu.
- Physical Effort: Ability to stand for most of the day, lift/carry trays, and restock shelves.
- Presentation: High standards of smart personal presentation.
- Qualifications: Food Hygiene training or certification is required. Previous catering or cafe experience is highly advantageous.
