The Market Development & Sales Operations Specialist is responsible for creating the structure, momentum, and market activity that help our B2B sales team win more business. From account-based campaigns and market intelligence to CRM discipline, events, and sales processes, this role ensures opportunities move forward and nothing falls through the cracks.
We're looking for someone who takes ownership, follows through on commitments, and brings a proactive mindset to everything they do. You'll be comfortable working alongside experienced sales professionals, maintaining accountability around agreed-upon processes, and helping drive the long-term growth of the business.
What You'll Be Doing
Create New Market Opportunities
Build and maintain the target-account strategies, market intelligence, and relationship data that help our team identify opportunities earlier, strengthen connections, and create a more proactive approach to business development.
Drive Sales Process Excellence
Bring structure and accountability to our sales operations by maintaining CRM discipline, supporting pipeline reviews, tracking commitments, and ensuring the information our team relies on is accurate, current, and actionable.
Execute Market Development Initiatives
Coordinate account-based campaigns, direct outreach efforts, and market-facing activities that increase brand visibility, generate engagement, and create meaningful opportunities for our sales team.
Strengthen the Customer Experience
Support client meetings, town halls, events, and initial inquiries to ensure every interaction reflects the professionalism, organization, and service standards that define the Centra brand.
Create Capacity for Sales Growth
Handle the operational activities, reporting, coordination, and follow-through that allow our sales representatives to spend more time building relationships, developing opportunities, and winning new business.
Contribute to Long-Term Business Growth
Work closely with sales leadership to identify improvements, support new initiatives, and bring the proactive mindset needed to help our Multifamily business continue to grow and evolve.
The Ideal Candidate
You're proactive, switched on, and take your work seriously. You enjoy creating structure, keeping things organized, and making sure important details don't fall through the cracks. You're comfortable working with experienced sales professionals, following up on commitments, and pushing initiatives forward without needing constant direction. You know how to maintain firm but professional boundaries, confidently following up on commitments and holding others accountable to agreed-upon processes without damaging relationships or losing momentum. Most importantly, you see beyond the task in front of you and take pride in contributing to the long-term growth and success of the business.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in sales operations, business development support, market development, account management, marketing coordination, or a similar B2B environment
- 2+ years of experience working with CRM systems and maintaining accurate customer, pipeline, and reporting data
- Experience coordinating campaigns, events, outreach initiatives, or other market-development activities is considered an asset
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, follow through on commitments, and work independently with minimal oversight
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to professionally follow up on commitments and hold others accountable to established processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; experience with Mailchimp or similar campaign management platforms is an asset
- Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is an asset, but equivalent experience will also be considered
