ADGA's Life Cycle Material Management Technician team is growing!!
You will be joining one of our largest Defence programs! You will have the chance to support tactical (military related) equipment fleets, and use the ERP system called DRMIS. (Defence Resource Management Information System)
A couple of key points include: the work site: Gatineau (full time, on-site is required), there is a government security requirement: Secret level 2 clearance, and the length: is 1 year to start, with strong potential of yearly extensions.
Tasks will include but not limited to:

Management of equipment within DRMIS, coordinating the distribution of equipment to DND and Land Force formations, and updating Technical Orders (TO).

Analyze and interpret Statements of Operational Requirements (SOR), and develop technical data and inspection standards that govern fabrication of prototypes.
-
Obtain operational status for the supported equipment and systems through liaison with user units including, evaluating Technical Failure Reports (TFR) and/or Unsatisfactory Condition Reports (UCR) and determining engineering solutions, as well as suggesting instructions to overcome deficiencies caused by faulty operation or maintenance, and assisting the Technical Authority (TA) with the revision of Technical Data Packages (TDP) to incorporate design changes made to a system during its life-cycle;

Maintain expertise and knowledge of the supported systems and as necessary compiling data available from military and commercial sources to provide an input to other directorates as required, and assisting the Technical Authority with advising the operation, supply, maintenance and engineering staff on system capabilities and limitations through briefing notes and technical bulletins;

Assist the TA (Tech Authority) to ensure that the equipment documentation, storage and use are in accordance with the Controlled Technology Access and Transfer (CTAT) regulations;

Disposing of equipment in accordance with CTAT regulations and Environment Canada and DGLEPM Environmental Health and Safety Management System (EHSMS) policies; and

Assist Training Development Services specific to the supported test systems to include:

defining, reviewing and updating training requirements, assisting the TA in coordination of training requirement with other organizations who provide training to DND, assisting the TA in performance in training instructor as required and preparation of Special Personnel Qualification Requirement (SPQR) as required in accordance with the current training doctrine.
Qualifications

Ideal candidates would have previous DRMIS experience (Defence Resource Management Info System) and hold a valid Secret level clearance with PSPC.

Mandatory requirement:
-
must have proof of a College Diploma in Electronics, Computer Technology or a relevant technical field. (to support a Land Command Support System)

If former CAF member, would need to demonstrate a minimum substantive rank of Warrant Officer in the Canadian Forces. an QL 6B.

Minimum of 4 years experience within the last 6 years in a minimum of 6 of the following criteria:
-
experience using a recognized Process framework or using an LCMM handbook.
-
experience working on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (i.e. SAP) for equipment cataloguing.
-
experience working on ERP for maintaining and developing checklists.
-
experience working on ERP for coordinating equipment distribution.
-
evaluating and providing solutions to deficiencies in Technical Failure Reports (TFR) and Unsatisfactory Condition Reports. (UCR)
-
analyzing Statements of Operational Requirements.
-
reviewing Technical Data Packages.
-
planning and executing equipment demilitarization and disposal.
-
Minimum of 4 years experience within the last 5 years in the preparation of technical documents including requirements, specification, checklists, bulletins, reports, proposals, and equipment disposal plans.

Minimum of 4 years experience in each of the following:
-
developing briefing notes and presentations to address technical and logistics issues pertaining to equipment.

liaising with stakeholders to support the life cycle management of equipment.

providing advice, guidance and recommendations on technical issues to support the decision making of senior management
