Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Iron Worker to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and repairing steel frameworks and reinforcement structures that form the backbone of commercial, industrial, and residential buildings. Your expertise will ensure the safety, stability, and durability of our projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your technical skills and physical strength to bring complex structures to life.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute construction plans.
- Install rebar and reinforcement materials for concrete structures with precision and efficiency.
- Erect steel frameworks using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery.
- Perform concrete forming, masonry work, drywall installation, flooring, and caulking to prepare sites for finishing.
- Operate heavy equipment such as cranes, forklifts, and hoists safely to transport materials on-site.
- Conduct restoration and renovation tasks to repair or modify existing structures as needed.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment confidently.
- Proven experience in rebar installation, concrete finishing, masonry, drywall, flooring installation, and renovation projects.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately for precise execution of tasks.
- Skilled in welding techniques necessary for steel assembly and structural reinforcement.
- Knowledge of construction safety protocols and the ability to perform heavy lifting safely.
- Familiarity with schematics related to structural layouts and construction plans.
- Excellent carpentry skills for framing and formwork setup; experience with caulking for sealing joints is a plus.
