Role Summary
Reporting to the Director of Environmental Services, the Environmental Services Worker is pivotal in maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Qualifications
- Grade XII or equivalent
- Housekeeping experience
- Alzheimer's course & certified in WHMIS GHS considered an asset
Performance Requirements
- Must be in good health and physically able to perform repetitive tasks, lift (up to 50lbs), frequent squatting, bending, standing, and walking
- Ability to operate related environmental services equipment
- Cares for equipment, supplies and work area by ensuring equipment is kept clean and safely stored; defective or damaged equipment and furnishings have been reported through proper documentation
- Performs & documents required audits, using communication tools
- Promotes and maintains positive communication and relationships among staff, residents, and the public
- Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team
- Performs other related duties as required
