Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Truck & Heavy Tire Technician to for our client in the salvage/scrap yard team. This role involves mounting and dismounting heavy truck and equipment tires, as well as assisting with general yard and salvage operations. This is a hands-on, outdoor position that requires strength, attention to safety, and a strong work ethic.
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery safely and efficiently.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and organizing materials and equipment within the yard.
- Mounting and dismounting heavy truck, trailer and equipment tires( REQUIRED )
- Perform maintenance on yard tools, machinery, and vehicles, including basic repairs and inspections.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and schematics to troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues.
- Support automotive repair tasks or farm machinery maintenance as needed.
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials or equipment following safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized yard environment to promote safety and operational efficiency.
- Assist with assembly or disassembly of equipment or structures as required.
- Follow safety guidelines related to heavy equipment operation and industrial safety standards.

- 1–2 years of mechanical, trucking, or yard experience preferred.
- Strong tool knowledge and mechanical aptitude.
- Experience mounting and torquing truck tires (required).
- Basic welding or cutting skills are a strong asset.
- Physically fit, able to lift and handle heavy truck parts safely.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to Etobicoke.
- Safety-conscious, dependable, and willing to learn.
- Primarily outdoor work in a yard environment, year-round, in all weather conditions.
- Regular lifting and handling of heavy truck and trailer components.

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
