Job Description:
We are seeking a licensed, skilled and experienced 310T Truck/Trailer Mechanic, Apprentice, Contractor or equivalent to join our team at TECHNICA FLEET SERVICES LTD. As a 310T Truck/Trailer Mechanic, Apprentice, Contractor or equivalent you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of trucks/tractors/trailers, ensuring their safety and efficient operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated individual with a passion for trucks/trailers and a strong mechanical aptitude. Flexibility in setting up his own schedule.
Responsibilities:
Perform thorough inspections of trucks/tractors/trailers, including mechanical, electrical, air and hydraulic systems, to identify and diagnose issues accurately.
Conduct routine maintenance and preventive services on trucks, such as oil changes, grease jobs, brake adjustments, and tire rotations.
Repair or replace faulty components, such as electrical parts, engine parts, transmissions parts, brakes, suspension systems, etc.
Respond to breakdown service calls and on going maintenance at customers' premises if and when necessary across Orillia, Simcoe, Toronto and GTA.
Safely operate a service vehicle and service customers at different job sites across Orillia, Simcoe, Toronto and GTA.
Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical air and other problems.
Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed on trucks.
Follow safety protocols and adhere to company standards and regulations.
Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs.
Stay updated with industry advancements and emerging technologies related to truck mechanics.
Requirements:
Apprenticeship
310T Certification/License or equivalent.
Proven experience as a Truck/Trailer Mechanic or a similar role, with a strong focus on servicing and maintenance of heavy duty trucks and trailers.
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing various truck systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
Solid understanding of truck diagnostic tools and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to think critically to solve complex mechanical problems.
Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Clear criminal record.
Must be Canadian citizen, permanent resident or have work permit
