Role Description - The Warehouse Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Calgary, AB, responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations and ensuring efficient, safe handling of all products. This role includes planning and monitoring stock movement, supervising receiving and shipping activities, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The Warehouse Manager leads and schedules warehouse team members, provides guidance and training, and enforces safety, hygiene, and quality standards. Daily tasks involve coordinating order fulfillment, optimizing storage and workflow, troubleshooting operational issues, and collaborating with logistics, sales, and purchasing teams to meet service and performance targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory / Warehouse Management:
Maintaining stock counts and bin location; replenishing bins when needed.
Planning efficient storage solutions to maximize space utilization.
Ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
Daily requirement in all picking, checking and receiving responsibilities.
Maintain warehouse appearance and cleanliness by following set protocols.
Receiving, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
Coordinating with transportation providers and suppliers.
Managing transportation costs and delivery times.
Supervising, training, and motivating warehouse staff and drivers.
Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and company policies.
Allocating tasks and resolving conflicts within the team.
Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Developing and managing quality improvement initiatives.
Implementing and maintaining a safe working environment.
Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth operations.

- Logistics Knowledge: Familiarity with warehouse operations, logistics processes, and transportation methods.
- Safety Knowledge: Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a warehouse environment and transportation vehicle.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and identify areas for improvement.
- Heavy Equipment Skills: Candidates should possess Forklift Operation skills and practical experience with warehouse equipment, following all safety protocols.
- Experience in food distribution, wholesale, or a similar warehouse setting is an asset.
- A relevant diploma or certification in logistics, supply chain, or operations management is preferred.
- Able to work well under pressure.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills; ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and be able to meet team objectives.
- Physically capable of material handling (60lbs).
- Must have previous Warehouse experience and Management experience.
- Willingness for extra hours as needed (peak seasons).
Wages and Benefits:
· Salary: $65,000 per year.
· Extended medical and dental benefits after 3-month probationary period.
