We are currently looking for a Safety Coordinator / Medic for various sites in the Kelowna area.
Qualifications:
· OHS Certificate or similar college/university level safety achievement is required
· Valid OFA 3 designation is required
· CSO or NCSO is preferred but not required
Must be local to Kelowna
Responsibilities:
· Gathering, reviewing, updating and posting of customer Code of Practice, gas testing intervals and thresholds.
· Site specific training materials.
· Emergency protocols and procedures for the site.
· First Aid reporting procedures.
· Ensure that daily Tailgate is conducted and signed off by all Irwin’s Safety employees.
· Ensure all employees have the appropriate PPE and are using accordingly.
· Provide assistance in first aid investigations.
· Provide assistance in Workplace Hazard investigations.
· Provide assistance with Incident Investigations.
· Assist foreman during emergencies – provide assistance where emergency situation is located.
· Be available and approachable to all team members.
· Other task as directed or required by the Project Coordinator.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $31.50-$35.00 per hour
