Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping & Guest Services Associate to join our team at the Clockmaker's Inn. This role is essential in creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests while maintaining the high standards of our inn. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys providing exceptional hospitality. Previous experience in housekeeping, hospitality, or customer service is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing and serving breakfast to guests
- Wash dishes and maintain a clean and organized kitchen
- Complete laundry, including occasional ironing
- Clean guest rooms to a high standard
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of common areas throughout the inn
- Restock guest rooms and common areas with supplies and amenities
- Respond to guest requests in a friendly, professional, and timely manner
- Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to management
- Follow safe handling procedures for cleaning products and equipment
- Complete assigned duties efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
Schedule
Hours vary depending on occupancy and bookings and typically range from 20 to 35 hours per week. We offer a flexible daytime schedule, with shifts generally beginning no earlier than 7:30 a.m. and ending by approximately 3:00 p.m. Weekend and holiday availability may be required during busy periods.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in housekeeping, hospitality, cleaning, or customer service is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and able to adapt to changing priorities
- Knowledge of hotel or commercial cleaning practices is an asset
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting wage of $17.00 per hour
