Duties
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to cut, assemble, and install pipes and fixtures
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and repairs
- Support the team in performing routine inspections and troubleshooting plumbing issues
- Learn to read basic schematics and diagrams related to HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems
- Participate in carpentry tasks as needed for framing or supporting plumbing installations
- Maintain a clean work environment, follow safety protocols, and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment
Experience
- Currently enrolled in or having completed at least two years of a recognized plumbing apprenticeship program or relevant construction training
- Basic mechanical knowledge with an understanding of plumbing components and systems
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Familiarity with construction sites or related environments is preferred
- Knowledge of schematics, blueprints, or technical drawings is advantageous
- Prior exposure to HVAC systems or welding is a plus but not required
- Strong willingness to learn new skills and adapt quickly in a team-oriented setting
