Certified Level 2- Dental Assistant – IV Sedation & Surgical Experience Required

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Dental Assistant with experience in IV sedation and surgical procedures to join our clinical team.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate is confident assisting with surgical cases, knowledgeable in IV sedation protocols, and passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during surgical procedures, including extractions, implant placements, and other oral surgeries
- Comfortable working with patients under IV sedation
- Assist with operatory setup and breakdown
- Assist the doctor during surgery
- Maintain strict infection control and sterilization protocols
- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and operatories
- Provide pre- and post-operative patient instructions
- Ensure compliance with IPAC, WHMIS, BLS
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience
- Proven experience assisting with IV sedation cases
- Experience with surgical procedures (implants, extractions, bone grafting preferred)
- Current CPR/BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
- Radiology certification(HARP)
- Knowledge of sedation monitoring equipment and protocols
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a team environment
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00-$33.00 per hour
