Document Controller

This is a 6-month contract opportunity with the potential for extension or conversion to a permanent position based on performance and business requirements.
Our client is a well-established industrial organization that supports critical operations through a strong focus on safety, process excellence, and continuous improvement. They are seeking a Document Controller to join their team on a 6-month contract, supporting both corporate and engineering documentation initiatives. Competitive hourly compensation $30 - $35 based on experience

Gain valuable experience supporting process improvement initiatives
Format, review, edit, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), corporate standards, policies, and technical documentation
Manage document control processes including revisions, approvals, transmittals, and version control
Coordinate document workflows through SharePoint and internal document management systems
Review technical drawings and engineering documentation for accuracy and completeness
Support engineering teams by incorporating red-line markups and updating process flow diagrams and as-built drawings
Work closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering personnel to gather information and facilitate document approvals
Identify opportunities to improve document control processes and eliminate workflow bottlenecks
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company documentation standards
Your experience in document control, technical administration, engineering administration, or a similar role allows you to manage complex documentation with confidence
Your strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint enables you to organize and maintain document systems effectively
Your attention to detail helps ensure documents, drawings, and records remain accurate and compliant
Your written communication skills allow you to produce polished, professional documentation and collaborate effectively with stakeholders
Your initiative and problem-solving mindset help identify process improvements and support operational efficiency
Experience working within industrial, manufacturing, engineering, utilities, oil & gas, or process plant environments is considered a strong asset
Familiarity with AutoCAD, engineering drawings, red-line markups, or technical documentation is highly desirable
