Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Dog/Cat Groomer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to pets, ensuring their comfort and well-being while delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals, strong grooming skills, and the ability to interact positively with pet owners.
Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, clipping, and styling for dogs and cats of various breeds.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any issues that may require attention.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ needs and grooming options.
- Handle pets safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort during grooming sessions.
- Assist in managing appointments and scheduling to ensure efficient workflow within the grooming salon.
- Lift and carry pets as needed, ensuring their safety during transport.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in pet grooming is preferred but not required; training may be provided for the right candidate.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with pet owners.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or multiple pets.
- Knowledge of different dog and cat breeds, grooming techniques, and products is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
