We are seeking a friendly and organized Dental Receptionist/Assistant to join our dental practice. This role involves managing front desk operations, assisting with patient care, and ensuring smooth daily office functions. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and check them in efficiently using electronic medical records systems such as Dentrix and Epic
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments while maintaining accurate records
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly and professionally, directing calls as needed
- Verify patient insurance information and process payments accurately at the front desk
- Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence
- Prepare treatment rooms and assist the dental team during procedures as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to ensure a welcoming environment for patients
- Handle patient inquiries regarding treatments, billing, and office policies with professionalism
Skills
- Proven experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar medical office role
- Proficiency with dental management software such as Dentrix and Epic electronic health records systems
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to manage multi-line phone systems efficiently and professionally
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in scheduling and record keeping
- Prior experience working with electronic medical records (EMRs) is highly desirable
- Office experience in a fast-paced environment demonstrating adaptability and professionalism
