Nordwind is a publishing, media and creative studio (publisher of The Yukon Magazine) based in Whitehorse, YT, and is looking for a highly organized, proactive Account/Project/Marketing Manager to help manage client relationships, coordinate projects, and support the execution of marketing initiatives across our growing business.
This is a (remote) hybrid role combining account management, project management, and hands-on marketing planning, coordination and execution. The right person will be comfortable communicating directly with clients, managing multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating all internal and external team members, and making sure projects move according to plan from kickoff through delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management
- Serve as a day-to-day contact for assigned clients and projects.
- Build strong client relationships and understand their objectives and priorities.
- Lead or participate in client meetings, follow-ups, approvals, and ongoing communication.
- Manage expectations around deliverables, schedules, scope, budgets and next steps.
- Identify client needs as well as opportunities for additional Nordwind services.
Project Management
- Manage projects from kickoff through completion.
- Develop and maintain timelines, deliverables, responsibilities, and approval processes.
- Coordinate writers, designers, developers, photographers, media partners, and other freelancers or suppliers as needed.
- Follow up proactively with clients and project teams to keep work moving.
- Identify potential delays or issues early and help develop solutions.
- Keep Nordwind's leadership informed of project status, priorities, and anything requiring attention.
Marketing Management
- Help identify, plan and coordinate client marketing initiatives across digital, print, content, media, and other channels.
- Translate client objectives into clear briefs, deliverables, and actionable project plans.
- Coordinate campaigns and marketing materials with creative and production partners.
- Support Nordwind's own internal projects and marketing initiatives as needed.
- Help evaluate results and identify ways to improve future marketing efforts.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in account management, project management, and/or marketing management, on the client side or with an advertising, media, design, or communications agency.
- Excellent communication and relationship-management skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple moving projects.
- A high degree of reliability and accountability (someone who follows through on commitments, meets deadlines, and can be counted on).
- A proactive working style (someone who follows up, anticipates issues, and takes ownership rather than waiting for direction).
- Good judgment and the ability to determine what can be handled independently and what needs to be escalated.
- Comfortable working with a small entrepreneurial team where responsibilities can overlap.
- Familiarity with common software platforms such as Google Workspace, collaboration tools, and marketing platforms.

This will initially be a contract, hourly position, with the number of hours varying based on project workload. We are looking for someone with reliable weekly availability who can participate in client meetings and respond to time-sensitive project needs during regular business hours when necessary.
