We’re looking for Airport Operations Specialists (AOS1) to join our team for this upcoming winter season!
These positions are temporary beginning mid-October 2026 and concluding late-March 2027.

About The Role
Working as part of the Prince George Airport operations team, the Airport Operations Specialist (AOS1) ensures airport operations can continue in a safe, secure, efficient, and effective manner. In this temporary position, you will perform a wide variety of structure and grounds maintenance duties that are generally labor intensive and may be required to provide support services to various internal and external client groups.
Key Responsibilities
· Use hand tools and operate equipment to perform structure and grounds maintenance duties.
· Perform minor repairs on equipment and structures while complying with applicable regulations, legislation, and policies
· Assist as directed during airport emergencies
· Complete computer and paper-based work orders, forms and other reports as required
· Perform other assigned or related duties
Qualifications
· Demonstrated commitment to safety as a priority
· Strong critical thinking, decision making and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work in a complex, technical environment with minimal supervision
· Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and written
· Possess a valid air brake endorsement
· Ability to obtain and maintain an Aeronautical Radio Operators license and Prince George Airport Vehicle Operators permit
· Ability to obtain and maintain a Transport Canada Security Clearance (TSC) to comply with regulatory requirements as a condition of employment.
· Ability to work in all winter weather conditions
Hours of Work
Day Shift – 05:00-15:30
Night Shift – 15:00-01:30
Shifts are scheduled on a four (4) on, four (4) off rotation of ten (10) hours shifts, switching between day and night shifts. This shift scheduled is based on an averaging of a 35-hour work week. There is also a potential requirement to work alternative shifts and/or overtime based on operational needs.
