Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Associate/Customer Service Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing customer orders with freight arrangements into 35 countries; and coordinating the importing of raw materials.
Responsibilities
- Enter customer orders with attention to special instructions
- Manage incoming emails and phone calls, respond to inquiries
- Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication
- Obtain freight quotes for LTL, LCL and FCL, couriers for both import and export
- Collaborate with planning teams to meet customer ship dates
- Prepare all customs documentation along with mandatory country specific documentation
- Prepare all shipping documentation including BOL
- Maintain client price lists within ERP system
- Arrange all inbound freight
- Work with the production team to administer customer orders
- Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution
Requirements
- Previous experience in logistics or supply chain management preferred
- Experience with required export documentation
- Proven customer support experience or experience as a Client Service Representative
- Familiarity with Business SAP One is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
