Duties and Responsibilities
In this role, the candidate will be responsible for
Managing the Cyber & Professional Liability Canadian Portfolios
Set Canadian strategies and work with the broader AIG leadership to ensure fit with local as well as global strategies.
Developing and adapting product and pricing using data analytics, modeling tools and actuarial reviews
Develop and foster broker and client relationships
Maintain familiarity with key accounts, business conditions, industry loss trends, and major economic factors affecting each line of business.
Ensure profitability of the portfolios
Underwrite key and/or significant accounts
Manage a team of Cyber and Professional Liability Underwriters across Canada
What we are looking for
Bachelors Degree; preferably with a major in Business Management, Risk Management or Finance.
7 + years of experience underwriting Cyber and Professional Liability Lines
Strong presence in the Cyber and professional Liability marketplace
Team Leadership and management experience
Portfolio Management Experience
Strong analytical and decision making and execution skills
Proven self-starter and independent thinker with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently to meet deadlines following company guidelines as well as in a team-oriented approach to accomplish goals
Confident knowledge of systems and PC applications, especially utilizing spreadsheets
