The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our team. This role involves working on both traditional IT projects and agile software deliveries, at times acting as a liaison between global and regional business stakeholders and project or product teams. The successful candidate will have a strong background in business analysis, process improvement, multiple delivery frameworks/approaches, and technology implementation, capable of bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions.

What you can expect to do here:
Planning and Strategy :
- Participate in the continuous improvement of business processes by researching best practices, devising improvements, piloting new techniques, and creating more effective processes.
- Prepare business case documents, product backlogs, and other information needed to select and prioritize business initiatives.
Assist in project/product planning and scope sessions to ensure compliance with project charters, implementation plans, and client agreements.

Operational:
- Gather, document, and analyze business requirements or user stories for IT projects and agile software products.
- Translate business requirements into system deployments and/or business process changes.
- Conduct change impact analysis and document business rules, functions, and requirements.
- Assess the risks of various solutions and identify business priorities based on assessment of business needs.
- Obtain key inputs from enterprise architecture teams and identify solution interdependencies.
- Create and manage improvement deployment roadmaps.
- Facilitate the negotiation of requirements or user stories among multiple stakeholders.
Provide regular updates to leadership using KPIs or OKRs to measure success.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Liaise effectively with business systems analysts or developers to ensure proper transition of requirements from business to technical requirements.
- Facilitate prioritization discussions using frameworks such as WSJF (Weighted Shortest Job First) or MoSCoW.
- Act as a liaison between stakeholders and project teams to facilitate the implementation of business solutions.
- Build strong working relationships with business units, external business partners, and co-workers.
- Provide training and support for processes, procedures, application functionality enhancements, upgrades, and improvements.
- Plan, coordinate, and document user acceptance testing, perform quality tests, and participate in problem resolution.
Technical:
- Provide technical assistance in training, mentoring, and coaching team members.
- Recommend and promote best practices and methodologies.
- Proactively search for improvements to business processes and propose best-in-class solutions and services.
Possess an understanding of systems engineering concepts and the enterprise application ecosystem.
What you’ll bring to WSP:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
- Typically, 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or similar
- Experience with ERP systems, particularly in Finance and HR sectors is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile and traditional SDLC methodologies.
- Strong analytical, synthesis, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Power Platform).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Leadership skills and ability to coordinate projects.
- Ability to communicate clearly and influence different levels of management.
Demonstrated expertise in cultivating strong relationships and fostering effective teamwork.
