- This is a unionized full-time position and will pay $46.66 per hour.
Shift schedule: 10:30am - 6:30pm Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday
Position Overview
The Lead Hand Mechanic provides support within the maintenance department by assisting with the coordination of shop activities while continuing to perform regular mechanical duties.

Assist with coordinating daily workflow in the maintenance shop.

Provide support to apprentices and other maintenance positions as required.

Diagnose, repair, and maintain motorcoaches and commercial vehicles

Perform preventative maintenance and annual safety inspections

Promote safe work practices and ensure work is completed in accordance with company standards.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Support shop operations and collaborate with team members to meet fleet availability targets

Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of repairs and inspections

Valid Ontario 310T Truck & Coach Technician Licence

Valid Ontario Driver's Licence (DZ Licence considered an asset)

Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair skills

Experience performing commercial vehicle safety inspections

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Experience with Fleet Focus, Samsara, Saucon, or similar maintenance systems is an asset

Ability to travel across the U.S. border

Must successfully comply with the Company's Drug and Alcohol Testing Program
