Meezan School is a non-profit, community-based religious school located in the City of Guelph. Our school provides a comprehensive education for students from Junior Kindergarten through Grade 8.
We are looking for a qualified, enthusiastic, and dedicated full-time Principal to lead our school and oversee its day-to-day academic and administrative operations. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, staff, students, parents, and the school community to create a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment.

Duties
- Provide leadership and direction to the school community.
- Oversee the day-to-day academic and administrative operations of the school.
- Supervise, support, and evaluate teaching and administrative staff.
- Develop and maintain a positive, respectful, and well-managed school environment.
- Ensure that teaching and learning practices align with the Ontario Curriculum and applicable educational requirements.
- Monitor student achievement, progress, attendance, and well-being.
- Support teachers with lesson planning, assessment, classroom management, and instructional practices based on the Ontario Curriculum.
- Oversee the preparation, review, and completion of student report cards.
- Ensure report cards accurately reflect student achievement and progress in relation to Ontario Curriculum expectations and are completed on time.
- Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behaviour, and school-related matters.
- Address student, parent, and staff concerns in a fair and timely manner.
- Organize staff meetings, professional development, school events, and other activities.
- Promote collaboration and professional growth among teachers and staff.
- Maintain accurate student, staff, and school records.
- Develop and implement school policies and procedures.
- Work with the school administration and board to establish and achieve school goals.
- Promote the values and educational mission of Meezan School.
- Ensure the school provides a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for all students.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification or licence.
- Previous teaching and school leadership or administrative experience.
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario Curriculum, assessment, and effective instructional practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to supervise, support, and motivate staff.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to effectively manage student behaviour and resolve conflicts.
- Commitment to student success and well-being.
- Experience working with diverse student populations is an asset.

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
