Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated Farm Labourers to join our agricultural team with housing and food provided. This role involves supporting daily farm operations, maintaining equipment, and assisting with crop production. The ideal candidate will be physically capable, eager to learn, and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Prior experience in farming or related fields is a plus but not required. This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in horticulture and farm maintenance while contributing to the successful operation of our farm.
Responsibilities
- Assist with planting, harvesting, and crop care activities
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and power tools safely and effectively
- Perform routine maintenance on irrigation systems and farm equipment
- Use hand tools for planting, pruning, and other manual tasks
- Conduct heavy lifting of supplies, equipment, or harvested crops as needed
- Support irrigation setup, repair, and adjustments to ensure proper water distribution
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment storage
- Follow safety protocols during all farm activities to prevent accidents or injuries
Skills
- Experience with irrigation systems and basic horticulture practice
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance procedures
- Basic math skills for measuring, calculating quantities, and record keeping
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and prolonged outdoor work
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn new skills related to farming operations
