Essential Duties and responsibilities:
Executes financial close process for supply chain functions, including preparation of journal entries with documented support, and various balance sheet account reconciliations with accuracy
Coordinates receipt of information from across the business to complete financial close, including the receipt of invoices and accruals from various departments
Communicates with other employees across the business to understand transactions and ensure appropriately accounted for
Prepares various working papers on a monthly and quarterly basis for internal reporting and for the use by external and internal auditors
Ensures appropriate documentation is retained and that working papers accurately describe transaction
Communicates with external and internal auditors as required to discuss processes and transactions
Completes other tasks as required to support the overall finance team (e.g. ad hoc requests)

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in finance with strong understanding of accounting
Business degree with major in accounting or other equivalent
Professional accounting designation is an asset but not required
Ability to work in a team environment with desire to seek continuous improvement
Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to work independently and in a faced paced environment, proficient in multitasking and strong follow-up to bring tasks to completion
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other office products
Experience with JDE (E1) would be considered an asset
Some travel as required
