Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Golf Shop Assistant to join our team at our scenic golf course. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest services, assist with daily shop operations, and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently at the register
- Assist with retail sales of golf equipment, apparel, and accessories
- Manage tee time reservations and coordinate scheduling for players
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the golf shop area
- Provide information about course rules, specials, and upcoming events
- Support food service operations if applicable, including taking orders and serving refreshments
- Engage with guests of all ages, including working with children during junior programs or clinics
- Promote a positive guest experience through friendly communication and attentive service
Requirements
- Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or retail is preferred
- Strong communication skills, including public speaking abilities for group or event assistance
- Ability to work well with children and guests of diverse backgrounds
- Cash handling experience is a plus
- Previous food service or guest services experience is advantageous
- Friendly demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
