We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, adhering to legal and safety guidelines
- Provide expert consultation to healthcare professionals regarding medication selection, dosage, interactions, and side effects
- Educate patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and storage instructions to promote adherence and safety
- Monitor patient responses to prescribed therapies and make recommendations for adjustments as needed
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate medication records in accordance with hospital policies
- Oversee the preparation of compounded medications when necessary
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations and standards
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop individualized patient care plans, especially in specialized areas such as pediatrics or acute care
- Stay current with advancements in pharmacology, medical terminology, and treatment protocols through ongoing professional development
Qualifications
- Valid pharmacist license in good standing; relevant licensure for the specific state or region required
- Prior hospital experience preferred, especially within acute care or pediatric settings
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration protocols, and patient care practices
- Experience working with diverse patient populations and understanding of pediatric pharmacotherapy is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with medical staff and educate patients
- Ability to interpret prescriptions accurately and manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and confidentiality in all aspects of pharmacy practice
Pay: $41.56-$66.91 per hour
