We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, utilizing various skills including commercial driving and heavy equipment operation.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including trucks and vans, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or hand trucks.
- Ensure accurate delivery of freight, verifying items against delivery manifests.
- Maintain proper documentation for deliveries, including receipts and delivery logs.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation.
- Assist with the operation of heavy equipment when necessary, ensuring safety standards are met.
- Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle readiness.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues.
Experience
- Prior experience in commercial driving or freight delivery is preferred.
- Skills in forklift operation and heavy equipment handling are advantageous.
- Knowledge of automotive repair or maintenance is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
- Experience operating heavy machinery or commercial vehicles is desirable.
- Ability to navigate using GPS or maps efficiently in urban or rural settings.
This position requires a dedicated individual committed to safety, punctuality, and excellent service delivery, with the flexibility to handle various operational tasks related to freight transportation and heavy equipment operation.
Pay: Up to $50.00 per hour
