A&B Tutoring is looking for enthusiastic and responsible Camp Counsellor Assistants to join our English Summer Camp for a group of students visiting from Taiwan.
The students are 8–19 years old. This is a wonderful opportunity for university students who enjoy working with young people, meeting international students, and sharing Canadian culture.
Position Details
Location: UBC Vancouver Campus
Dates: July 19 – August 15
Shift Options:
- Half Day: 8:45 AM – 12:00 PM
- Full Day: 8:45 AM – 5:15 PM (Lunch provided)
Pay: $20/hour
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support Taiwanese students during English classes and cultural activities.
- Encourage students to communicate in English.
- Create a fun, welcoming, and safe environment.
- Assist with games, activities, and excursions.
- Help students experience Canadian culture.
- Ensure students' safety and well-being throughout the program.
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, energetic, and outgoing
- Responsible and reliable
- Patient and enjoys working with children and teenagers
- Fluent in English
- A current university or college student (preferred)
- Experience working with youth, camps, or children is an asset
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
