Our pharmacy in Gabriola Island is looking to hire a pharmacy assistant to join our team! Computer efficiency and positive attitude are imperative for this position. Experience required for this opportunity.
This will be a part time role, with full time availability required from time to time to cover vacation and sick calls.
Shifts may vary and Saturday availability is required.
Responsibilities:
- intake and dispensing of prescriptions
- using computer systems to generate stock lists and labels
- ordering medications and medical/pharmacy supplies
- maintaining and counting inventory
- receiving, loading, and unloading deliveries
- selling over-the-counter medicines and front store items
- answering customers questions face to face or by phone
- preparing, packaging, assembling and labelling medication
- handling and processing till transactions
- general cleaning and housekeeping
- referring problems or queries to the pharmacist or pharmacy manager
- additional duties when necessary
- at least 2 years kroll experience

Wage will be based on experience level.
