Job Overview
Nordtek Trailers Inc. is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented individual to join our team in a combined Quality Inspection and Shipping & Receiving role.
This position plays an important part in ensuring our trailers meet Nordtek's quality standards before leaving our facility, while also coordinating the accurate and efficient receiving and shipping of materials, parts, and finished products.
The ideal candidate is organized, observant, hands-on, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities – Quality Inspection
- Perform final quality inspections on completed trailers prior to shipment.
- Inspect trailers for workmanship, finish, damage, and overall quality.
- Verify trailer components and features against applicable specifications and documentation.
- Identify defects, missing components, damage, or workmanship concerns.
- Document inspection results and communicate deficiencies to the appropriate production team or supervisor.
- Maintain a consistent standard of quality across finished products.
Key Responsibilities – Shipping & Receiving
- Receive incoming materials, parts, supplies, and other shipments.
- Verify incoming shipments against packing slips, purchase orders, and other documentation.
- Inspect incoming materials for visible damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Report receiving discrepancies to purchasing or management.
- Prepare outgoing shipments and ensure the correct products and documentation are included.
- Coordinate trailer and product pickups with carriers, dealerships, customers, and internal staff as required.
- Prepare and organize shipping and receiving paperwork.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to read and understand work orders, specifications, packing slips, purchase orders, and basic manufacturing documentation.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with production, purchasing, management, dealerships, customers, and carriers.
- Comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for ensuring work is completed accurately.
- Basic computer skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with trailers, automotive equipment, manufacturing, or fabrication would be considered an asset.
- Previous experience in quality inspection, shipping/receiving, manufacturing, warehousing, or a similar position is an asset.
- Forklift experience or certification is an asset.
- Must be able to safely perform the physical requirements of the position.

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
Work Location: In person
