Vickar Ford is recruiting a Sr Parts Advisor who will be responsible for the experienced maintenance of parts inventory, assisting department selling, ordering and receiving parts and accessories. They will act as the dealership’s front-line customer relations representative for the Parts Department, ensuring customer service excellence!
Schedule will include alternating Saturday shifts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Professionally attend to parts requests from customers, Technicians and Service Advisors
- Research the availability of parts/accessories, either within dealership stock or from other sources
- Order and receive parts
- Daily inventory control
- Participate in annual physical stock inventory (usu December)
- Keep department shelves, desks, walkways, neat, orderly, and safe
- Verify accuracy of daily sales balances
- Other departmental or facility duties as assigned by management
REQUIREMENTS
- 1-2 years Parts Department experience, preferably in the automotive industry
- Must have a strong understanding of vehicles and their inner workings
- Attention to detail, eg accurate data-entry
- Effective written and verbal communications
- Able to deal with staff and customers professionally at all times
- Able to work effectively in a busy environment
- Experience with CDK automotive software an asset.
- Reliable attendance is a must
