About the Team and the Role
We are looking for an experienced and versatile Senior Product Manager to join the high-growth eBay Live organization. Live Shopping is one of eBay’s top strategic priorities, and this role sits at the critical foundation of our seller supply engine — owning the end-to-end seller onboarding experience that determines who sells on eBay Live and how quickly they reach their first stream.
You will define seller frameworks that scale eBay Live’s supply while maintaining marketplace trust and integrity. This role requires a product leader who thrives in ambiguity, can navigate a fast-moving 0-1 environment, and has the rigor to ship high-quality experiences across a global platform.
What You Will Accomplish
Define and own the end-to-end seller registration and onboarding strategy for eBay Live — from first touchpoint through first-stream activation.
Develop a privilege unlock framework that controls access to eBay Live’s full feature set based on seller performance — balancing supply growth with marketplace integrity.
Drive the full product lifecycle — from discovery and opportunity sizing to PRD authorship, sprint execution, launch, and post-launch analysis.
Define and track activation funnel metrics (registration starts, verification completion, first-stream rate) and use data to identify drop-off, size improvements, and prioritize the roadmap.
Serve as a visionary leader for your product space, developing a strategy and roadmap that aligns with eBay’s top-level goals by blending deep seller empathy with market trends, competitive insights, and business objectives.
Lead alignment across Engineering, Design, Data Science, Payments, Business Development, and Go-to-Market teams, fostering collaboration and driving shared goals.
Represent seller onboarding in exec-level reviews, translating complex product and experience tradeoffs into clear strategic recommendations.
What You Will Bring
5+ years of product management experience, with direct experience in marketplace or platform onboarding, seller/creator tools, or growth product areas strongly preferred.
E-commerce, video, or social commerce experience highly preferred; experience with live shopping or creator economy platforms is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
Ambiguity Management: Proven ability to operate in a 0-1 environment, distilling complex, unclear problems into a clear product vision, phased roadmap, and actionable requirements.
Prioritization and Tradeoffs: Demonstrated ability to evaluate options, assess tradeoffs (short-term vs. long-term), and recommend a path forward, even with incomplete data.
Influence & Communication: Masters written and verbal communication, adapting your message to influence both execution teams and executive leadership. Ability to lead and inspire without direct authority.
Analytical Rigor: Proven ability to use quantitative and qualitative insights to define funnel health, build business cases, and measure the impact of onboarding changes on seller activation and retention.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Experienced leading without direct authority across Engineering, Design, Data Science, Payments, and Go-to-Market teams.
