The Role:
As the Head Server, you will set the standard for guest experience. You will balance direct guest service with team leadership, ensuring seamless floor operations during peak hours. You’ll help ensure that every guest—from the casual dinner, scratch golfer to the first-timer—feels like a VIP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Floor: Oversee daily front-of-house shifts and coordinate table and simulator service.
- Provide Elite Service: Greet guests, take orders, and deliver exceptional food and beverage service.
- Train & Mentor: Onboard new service staff and coach current team members on service standards.
- Scheduling: Coordinate front of house schedules and verify time sheets.
- POS Handling: Input discounts and items into the POS system as needed.
- Resolve Issues: Handle guest feedback and technical simulator questions with patience and professionalism.
- Maintain Standards: Ensure strict compliance with BC liquor laws and food safety regulations.
- Vibe Management: Maintain an upbeat, welcoming atmosphere; keep the music, TVs, and lighting tuned to the room's energy
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of high-volume serving experience; leadership experience is highly preferred.
- Certifications: Valid Serving It Right and FoodSafe Level 1 certifications are mandatory.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable operating modern POS systems and learning golf simulator software.
- Schedule: Full flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
