Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking dishes to order, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals passionate about food service and the food industry.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to recipes and restaurant standards
- Cook dishes efficiently while maintaining quality, presentation, and consistency
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures to ensure hygiene and safety
- Assist with food plating and presentation for service
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow
- Adhere to all health regulations and safety protocols in the kitchen environment
- Stock supplies and notify management of inventory needs
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, or food handling within a restaurant or food service setting is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work collaboratively with team members
- Basic understanding of meal preparation techniques and kitchen operations
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards customer service and teamwork
