Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Automotive Service Technician or Apprentice to join our team. This role involves performing a variety of vehicle repairs and maintenance tasks, ensuring customer satisfaction through quality workmanship. Duties
- Diagnose and repair automotive issues using industry-standard tools and techniques
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex problems
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively
- Assist in the assembly and disassembly of vehicle components during repairs
- Conduct heavy lifting as needed to move parts or equipment safely
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance needs clearly
Qualifications
- Registered apprentice or licensed Automotive Service Technician or apprentices
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive repair procedures
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, welding, and schematics is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work on your feet for extended periods
- Knowledge of vehicle assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good communication skills with a focus on customer service
- Valid driver’s license is required for certain duties involving vehicle movement or test drives
- A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and advancing within the automotive industry
