Job Overview
At RAStudios we are seeking an Operations Manager who is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and efficient operation of two professional painting studios, the framing department, and the shipping and fulfillment department.
The role ensures that artwork moves smoothly from creation through finishing, framing, inventory, packing, and shipment while maintaining high standards of quality, organization, presentation, and care.
The Operations Manager acts as the central operational link between senior management, the artists, studio staff, carpenters and shipping personnel. The position requires someone who is highly organized, practical, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing several work streams simultaneously in a creative environment.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Manage the daily operations of two painting studios, framing, packing, and shipping departments.
- Keep a clear workflow between departments.
- Coordinate priorities based on client orders, commissions, gallery requirements, production schedules, and shipping deadlines.
- Maintain an operational calendar showing important production and delivery dates.
- Identify bottlenecks and resolve operational problems before they affect deadlines.
- Ensure staff understand daily and weekly priorities.
- Conduct regular operational check-ins with relevant team members.
- Develop and maintain practical procedures for recurring activities.
- Ensure the workspaces operate safely, professionally, and efficiently.
- Supports the artists by ensuring that both studios are fully functional and organized so the artists can concentrate primarily on creative work.
- Maintain oversight of every artwork as it progresses through the business.
- Overall responsibility for ensuring artwork and related products are packed and shipped safely, professionally, and on schedule.
