Job Overview:
We're seeking a skilled Apprentice or Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. Our work is mostly residential right now, must be experienced with residential new construction and service calls. Commercial/industrial experience is a valuable bonus. As an Apprentice or Journeyperson Electrician, you'll be responsible for performing a variety of electrical tasks, including installation, maintenance, and repair work. Driver's licence with clean abstract required.
Duties:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial settings
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to determine the layout of electrical wiring
- Install and connect wiring, outlets, switches, circuit breakers, and other electrical components
- Test electrical systems using specialized tools to ensure proper functioning and safety
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and make necessary repairs or replacements
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines while working on job sites
Skills:
- Proficient in low voltage electrical systems
- Knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in electrical work
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
- Experience in renovating or building electrical systems
- Primarily residential work, with familiarity with commercial/industrial electrician work
- Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting electrical issues
- Understanding of logic controllers and their applications
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Estimating experience is an asset
