The Role
The Senior Workday HCM Analyst provides hands-on management, configuration, and continuous optimization of our Workday HCM system. Joining a collaborative team of Workday professionals, you will act as a subject matter expert to align our HR business processes with Workday’s data structure, features, and functionality to support our rapidly growing operations across North America. This role requires a deep understanding of HR business processes, a proactive approach to system enhancement, and the ability to partner closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, and Operations to deliver innovative, scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Functional Support & Configuration: Drive complex configuration, customization, and deployment of Workday HCM components, including Core HR, Business Processes, User Security, EIBs, and Organization Hierarchies.
Testing & Quality Assurance: Test new configurations, system fixes, and bi-annual Workday releases. Document testing protocols to ensure seamless integration and mitigate downstream application impact.
Reporting & Analytics: Develop and maintain simple to complex Workday reports, alerts, notifications, and dashboards to deliver clear, actionable insights to HR teams and senior executive management.
Strategic Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate with HR team members and cross-functional departments to understand business needs, manage expectations, and deliver on key cyclical activities (e.g., Performance, Annual Compensation, and Goal Setting).
Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Serve as a Tier 3 support component for the Workday team. Utilize deep functional knowledge to troubleshoot complex system issues, test fixes, and resolve problems efficiently.
Training & Enablement: Act as a Workday SME to provide ongoing education, guidance, and training to HR team members. Maintain and update relevant training materials and documentation.
Continuous Improvement: Actively engage with the Workday Community to stay current on new releases, features, and notices. Recommend workflow or configuration changes based on user feedback.
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)
Education: University or College degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience with Workday HCM configuration, Business Processes, and Reporting tools. Experience with the Recruitment functionality is an asset.
Technical Skills: In addition to Workday, experience with Power BI or Google Looker is considered a strong asset.
Certifications: CHRP, CHRL, or official Workday certifications are an asset.
