We are currently seeking a Crude Oil Scheduler to work in our Marketing department. The successful candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills along with a passion for learning. We are seeking a self-starter with exceptional interpersonal skills.

This dynamic full-time, permanent position is based in Calgary and reports to the Supervisor of Crude Oil in Marketing. ARC manages the physical flow of commodities through its Marketing team and currently manages production of approximately 40,000 bbl/d of liquids and over 600 mmcf/d of natural gas produced within Western Canada.

Position Overview:
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with ARC’s Marketing team to further enhance our focus on moving ARC’s upstream production to market at optimal net back pricing.

The position is designed to provide growth and development opportunities through exposure to the various areas of Marketing. The position will enable the successful candidate to develop essential and comprehensive business skills to support and enhance their career development.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the logistics and scheduling duties for ARC’s crude oil and NGL volumes from various battery/gas plants to feeder pipelines
Working closely with Operations and Engineers to accurately forecast, monitor and manage pipeline positions.

Work with internal and external business partners to quickly execute necessary scheduling changes due to operating constraints, unplanned events, and changes in market fundamentals

Meet all industry deadlines with respect to scheduling and nomination of crude oil

Effectively recognize and communicate market trends and anticipated changes to both trading and scheduling

Develop and maintain various models and provide analysis to assist in commercial decision making

Responsible for the commercial negotiation of annual Trucking contracts

Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with internal and external business groups, including: Shippers, Producers, Midstream companies, Field staff and Production Engineers

Work with Marketing Accounting to reconcile Shipper Balances to Shipper transportation invoices

Be available for 24 hour on-call support for all crude oil and NGL logistical issues, including weekends and some holidays

Qualifications:
We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 3 years of experience. Prior experience in a crude oil scheduling role is an asset. This position requires a motivated individual who has a passion for learning and a willingness to take on new challenges. Although training and mentoring will be provided, the successful candidate must be able to work independently within a team environment.

The successful candidate will also possess the following key attributes:

Strong analytical skills with superior attention to detail in all areas of work.
Excellent computer skills and experience working with Excel, Petrotranz, Petrinex, Swiftlink, Egistix and an ability to adapt to and learn new software.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering results under pressure and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Exceptional organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
High level of personal integrity and exceptional work ethic.
High level of energy and enthusiasm.
