Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant II to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, support the dental team with clinical procedures, and ensure smooth daily operations within our practice. Experience with dental software Dentrix, as well as familiarity with orthodontics and implant surgery, will be considered strong assets.
Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including orthodontic treatments and pediatric dentistry
- Manage patient records accurately using dental software such as Dentrix
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene, treatment plans, and post-operative care
- Ensure patient comfort and address any concerns or questions during visits
- Support front desk staff by handling administrative tasks related to patient scheduling and check-in/out processes
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment at all times
- Assist in inventory management of dental supplies and equipment
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Registered Dental Assistant II with valid licensure
- Proven experience with dental assisting, including working knowledge of orthodontics and pediatrics procedures
- Proficiency in dental software platforms such as Dentrix; familiarity with CBCT systems is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including pediatric patients
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Knowledge of infection control standards and sterilization procedures
- Prior experience working as a dental receptionist or in customer service within a healthcare setting is advantageous
