Title and Authority
Job Title: Inside Sales Representative, HOM
Reporting Structure: This role reports directly to the Inside Sales Manager, HOM and reports indirectly to the General Manager, HOM. This role has no supervisory or managerial authority and no direct reports.
General Description of the Role
The Inside Sales Representative is the first point of contact with customers and so the ideal candidate is a dynamic individual who is driven, career-focused, and enjoys the reward of customer relations, teamwork, problem-solving, and achieving success. This role understands customer service, building & maintaining customer relationships, and looks to improve internal sales administration processes.
Role Accountabilities
o Respond in a timely and professional manner to customer inquiries, including taking orders, providing information and solutions, and referring to others as required.
o Responsible for sales support activities including assisting and executing sales strategies, generating sales leads, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to annual sales goals.
o Receive and track customer feedback. Ensures the resolution of customer complaints and inquiries.
o Take ownership of the showroom clientele and merchandising as required.
o Work with other team members at the front counter to generate revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders.
o Support other team members during peak call activity, vacations, and absences.
o A commitment to continuous learning of all products and their differentiated selling features.
o Provide value-added proactive solutions and responses to customer requests.
o Identify and refer any opportunities, which arise from customer queries to applicable departments as necessary.
o Maintain excellent communications with internal departments, customers, and suppliers.
Skills and Experience
Required- you:
o Possess a high school diploma.
o Have 1 to 3 years of direct work experience in an inside sales role.
o Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact with customers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and positive manner in person and over the phone.
o Possess a passion for helping customers.
o Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.
o Have experience attending to customer needs and maintaining good customer relations.
o Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
o High level of ownership, accountability, initiative, and minimal supervision.
o A willingness to learn and the drive to succeed.
o Have experience working with Microsoft programs.
o Can read a measuring tape and perform basic mathematical calculations.
Desirable- you:
o Have experience working in the glass/mirror industry.
o Have experience using Microsoft Business Central.
Specific Tasks
o Answer all incoming sales calls and assist customers with inquiries.
o Whenever possible address all sales calls as an opportunity to generate leads.
o Track all leads and follow up to close the sale.
o Monitor incoming email inquiries and answer them accordingly.
o Greet all customers in the showroom and assist them with selections if required.
o Prepare quotes and process work orders.
o Follow up on open and outstanding quotes to determine the status.
o Investigate and troubleshoot customer service issues.
o Handle all payments using the POS terminal.
o Order office supplies as required.
o Occasionally assist customers with unloading and loading materials from their vehicles.
