Housekeeping Supervisor
HYATT house is an extended-stay, residential-style hotel that aims to provide individual travelers with the feel and comfort of a modern condominium. Our 135-room property offers many of the comforts of home, including fully equipped kitchens, flat-panel HDTVs, and complimentary high-speed internet access. The hotel also features a pool, fitness center, business center, and complimentary breakfast for our guests.
We are currently seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department and ensuring our guestrooms and public areas consistently meet Hyatt standards for cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
The Housekeeping Supervisor will work closely with the Housekeeping Manager and hotel leadership team to coordinate daily room assignments, inspect guestrooms, monitor productivity, assist team members when needed, and ensure rooms are prepared and released in a timely manner for arriving guests.
A successful candidate will be someone who leads by example, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and understands the importance of teamwork in providing an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support the daily activities of the Housekeeping team.
- Assign guestrooms and daily duties to Housekeeping associates based on occupancy and operational needs.
- Inspect guestrooms following cleaning to ensure Hyatt cleanliness and presentation standards are consistently met.
- Ensure guestrooms are inspected and released in a timely manner for arriving guests.
- Communicate room status and operational concerns effectively with the Front Desk and Maintenance teams.
- Assist Housekeeping associates with guestrooms and public areas when operationally required.
- Identify and report maintenance concerns, damaged furnishings, appliances, fixtures, and other deficiencies found during room inspections.
- Ensure guest requests and special instructions are properly communicated and completed.
- Monitor housekeeping supplies, linens, amenities, and inventory and report replenishment needs.
- Assist with training and onboarding new Housekeeping associates.
- Provide ongoing coaching and guidance to team members to maintain cleanliness, productivity, and service standards.
- Help ensure proper procedures are followed for lost and found items.
- Promote a safe working environment and ensure associates follow hotel health and safety procedures.
- Respond professionally and appropriately to guest concerns relating to room cleanliness or Housekeeping service.
- Work collaboratively with all hotel departments to provide a consistent and positive guest experience.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager or hotel management.
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping experience required; hotel housekeeping experience strongly preferred.
- Previous supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to lead by example and provide respectful coaching and direction to team members.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic computer skills are an asset.
- Must be physically capable of performing housekeeping duties and assisting the team when required.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, based on hotel occupancy and operational needs.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who understands that a successful Housekeeping Department depends on teamwork, communication, consistency, and attention to detail. This individual should be comfortable working alongside the team while providing the leadership and support necessary to ensure every guest receives a clean, comfortable, and welcoming room.

Pay: $18.00-$18.50 per hour
