Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Staffing, Scheduling and Payroll, this position is responsible for working in partnership with Scheduling Clerks and Departmental Managers to fill staffing needs within in a complex multi-union environment. This includes adjusting staff rotations, calling in relief staff while using Kronos Timekeeping to record and fill vacancies, leaves of absences and sick leaves, etc. in accordance with applicable Collective Agreement rules.
Is required to work days, evenings, full and partial shifts, weekends, and/or statutory holidays with flexibility to accept short notice call-ins. Hours may change from time to time based on the needs of the Hospital. In addition, the successful candidate must meet the non-availability requirements outlined in the Collective Agreement.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Minimum education of Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, however preference will be given to those with a post-secondary diploma/degree in a related field.
Minimum of one (1) year previous staffing and/or scheduling experience; preferably in a Healthcare/Hospital setting.
Competent in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
Experience or knowledge of ESP Kronos Time and Attendance preferred.
Knowledge of Collective Agreements preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proven ability to work with minimal supervision, utilizing effective organizational skills in an ever-changing environment.
Proven ability to provide excellent customer service in all interactions.
Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment with many interruptions and changing demands.
